1. Install Counter-Strike 1.6
Install Counter-Strike 1.6 from your Steam library. It is free and all you need is a Steam account.
How to connect
A few simple steps and you are in the game.

2. Enable the developer console
In game, go to Options → Advanced and tick “Enable developer console (~)”. Without it you cannot type the connect command.

3. Connect to the server
Open the console with the ~ key, type one of the commands below and press Enter. You can also add the server to Favourites for one-click joining.

4. Maps and resources download automatically
On your first join, the game downloads the custom maps from the server. Let it finish, then restart the game if prompted.
You need the original Counter-Strike 1.6 client (Steam). Private servers do not require a site account.
